Community Payback

If you have been sentenced to an unpaid work requirement (otherwise known as Community Payback) you will work in the community carrying out demanding work to pay back for the crimes you have committed.

You can be sentenced to between 40 and 300 hours of Community Payback.  If you work or are in full-time education you will have to give up a day at the weekend to do Community Payback.  If you are unemployed you may have to carry out Community Payback for up to three days a week

You must wear suitable clothing.  We will provide high-visibility jackets and any other specialist protective clothing you may need such as gloves or a hard hat.

You are expected to report to the Community Payback office yourself but we will provide transport to the work site if this is in a different location.
